VILAR DE SANTOS – UNDERGROUND PIPE DETECTION

A GPR survey by using the 800 MHz central frequency antenna was employed to locate an underground pipe. Observing the GPR results collected, a hyperbolic reflection was identified, which would be most probably produced by the existence of the pipe mentioned.

Assuming a radar wave velocity of 15 cm/ns for the asphaltic medium, this pipe is located at approximately 1.7 m depth.
